NeatWorks QuickBooks Tutorial
Welcome to the tutorial on Using NeatWorks with Quick Books. You can quickly export multiple types of receipts into multiple accounts in one simple step. These exports appear in your Quick Books ‘Bills’ section. NeatWorks makes it quick and easy to connect ‘Category’ and “Payment’ type to your QuickBooks Chart of Accounts.
It is important to note here that If you’re a Windows Vista user, you must have the latest QuickBooks updates installed on your computer.
Let’s get started!
Open the Receipts Organizer and select the folder, folders or selected receipts you want to export and click Export > QuickBooks (.iif). The Confirm Your Selection screen displays.
The Export Wizard will open and show you a summary of the data you selected. You must then select a Company file to export to. Click Browse, and NeatWorks will locate the company file.
After NeatWorks connects to QuickBooks, you will see some basic information about the company displayed in the main wizard form, for verification that the correct company is selected.
Before continuing with the export, select how you wish to export your information to QuickBooks: Receipts/Bills or Expense Reports.
Now, the export wizard will map information in NeatWorks to information in QuickBooks.
For each NeatWorks category, you must select the appropriate Category for it to map to in QuickBooks.
Then, click on the “Payment Type Mappings” tab and select how each payment type from NeatWorks maps to the QuickBooks Accounts. When these have been completed, the “Export” button will be enabled.
The ‘Export Completed Successfully’ screen displays showing you that you have successfully exported your files. If any errors or duplications occurred during your export, a list of the receipts and errors will be displayed.
In QuickBooks the data from NeatWorks will appear in each account ledger that you selected.
And that’s it!
