NeatWorks Tutorial - The Inbox
Welcome to the NeatWorks Inbox video tutorial. In NeatWorks, the Inbox is where your receipts, business cards and documents are sent after scanning. From the Inbox, you can easily verify, edit and file your documents.
Your NeatWorks Inbox is similar to a 3-tiered inbox that you might have on your desk to organize your papers. In NeatWorks, the Inbox consist of three bins: Receipts, Business Cards, and Documents.
As you scan, images are processed through the Quick Scan Center, and sent to the Inbox.
By default, NeatWorks auto-detects the paper type and places it in the appropriate section of the Inbox. If you would like to turn off auto-detection, you can do so from the Quick Scan Center.
Items can be easily moved between the Inbox sections if a document was mis-classified. Also, individual scans can be combined into multi-page documents using drag-and-drop functionality. When you’re ready to verify, edit and file, click the Review and file button. A detailed view will display.
Change or add information to any of the fields, if necessary. The fields displayed in the detailed view directly correlate to the columns you have set up in the Receipt, Business Card and Document Organizers. For example, the visible columns in the receipt organizer match the fields available in the detailed view of the inbox.
You can crop, rotate, and lighten or darken your image. If the image needs to be adjusted, click on the Adjust Image link.
Finally, to file the item, select an existing folder or create a new one.
For more details on how to create and organize folders, please view the Folder Basics Tutorial.
Click File Now to send the item to the selected folder. File later will take you back to the Inbox and save any changes you made.
If you’d rather not verify and file each scan individually, you can quickly file multiple items at the same time. Select the items you wish to file to a single folder. You can select multiple items by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
Choose the folder you want to file to – or create a new one…
Then Click File Selected to file items.
And that’s it! Your items will appear in the selected folder, where you can then edit and manage.
