Easier access to the Calibration Sheet?

If anyone has had to reinstall the software... you have to re-calibrate the scanner using the calibration sheet.

If you're like me, the calibration sheet lives in the scanalizer box... nowhere near your workstation.

Would it be possible to have the calibration sheet exist as a file installed on the target computer? The user could print it (specifying laser, inkjet, thermal) and use for calibration.

    Thanks for listening...

    Jim

Re: Easier access to the Calibration Sheet?

    Hi, Jim

It's possible to print a calibration sheet from the Calibrate menu, but we actually recommend making one out of a sheet of blank paper, cut to fit the scanner opening.

The real key to the calibration sheet is not the black stripe, but the dimensions of the sheet.  When the calibration sheet is printed, the margins aren't always consistent from printer to printer, so these dimensions are pretty unreliable.

If you don't have the calibration sheet on-hand, you can use the 'Restore Default Calibration Values' option as a short-term solution until you can find or create a new sheet.

    Hope this helps!

Re: Easier access to the Calibration Sheet?

Are there any instructions on how to make a calibration sheet? I misplaced mine.

    Thanks or your help.

    Hi Stan,

You can print a new one from within NEAT Receipts.  Go to Scan > Calibrate NeatReceipts Professional Scanner.  In the lower left corner of that dialog box, you'll see the option to print a calibration sheet.  Cut along the dotted line and you'll be all set.

    Sincerely,
    Jenn

Re: Easier access to the Calibration Sheet?

I can't print a copy of the calibration sheet because I am installing the upgrade version 3.0 and so was instructed to remove the previous version.  Now I am in limbo because I am instructed to insert the calibration sheet, but I can't print it and don't know the dimensions to manually make one.  Any ideas?
