[Cross-posted with General forum] If I wanted to create an external app that could provide data extraction and analysis services, is there a way for that to happen? (Of course, you could always take a copy of the mdf and attach it to another SQL instance for which you have a login, but that's a pain and opens the door to inconsistent data.) ...
