I wrote a fairly lengthy explanation in my return-request email as to why I was returning NeatDesk, but I don't think the recipient at The Neat Company cared very much, so I'm posting a copy of my response here:
I was initially very excited about NeatDesk, as I expected that it would be very useful in scanning large batches of ...

There are several iphone apps that basically turn the iphone into a pdf scanner already, JotNot for example. I put in a strong vote for Neat Works developing an iphone app (30 million users!) which would allow the user to take a quick pic and then convert the OCR either syncing with a laptop/desktop or possibly on the iphone itself? It ...

I love Neat Works for Mac. i used it almost everyday to file my receipts that I use out there.
However the product offerings for a personal finance software for Mac overall are lacking. I have tried all of the major offerings for personal finance software for Mac out there and found them all to not be what I am looking for. ...

Let me start off by saying I love the product idea, however performance is another issue. For $500, we should be getting a lot better.

Thanks, ...

Please add my vote to fixing the issue with fields. I heard about this product on TechGuyLabs or Macbreak and they were very complimentary. I am disappointed with the quality of the software. It is a good start however and I sincerely hope Neat gives us some major upgrades in the near future otherwise I will be looking elsewhere. has anyone used ...

I saw on Quicken FAQs posts something about exporting a QUIF file from Quicken FOR Neat Recipts so it would have access to the Quicken categories and accounts.
But I find nothing on the NeatWorks/receipts site on how one gets NeatRecipts 2.0.3 to import or 'see' the QUIF file.
How does one import this? Is ...

I also use very few fields for tracking receipts and am very unhappy that the new version of NeatReceipts has not only cluttered up the data entry area with a ton of new fields that I don't need, but seemingly makes it impossible to remove them!
The program's "Create or modify fields" dialog gives the impression that the user ...
