I have worked with Tech Support in all versions of NR from 2.3 upwards to get the scanner driver problem resolved in Vista 32 bit. Every tech support person seems ignorant of the problem and no one has any solutions. I have also tried drivers from the scanner manufacturer without success. I just bought Neat Receipts from Office Depot. It is the windows version, but I downloaded the mac software (10.5.3 osx is my OS) and installed it, and hooked up the scanner to the usb. The software runs fine, the scanner scans, but every scan is just gray lines. i have tried multiple receipts, multiple documents, color, black and white, face down ...

So, I'm planning to do a full install of 2.8.1 on a Vista box. I have an HP All-in-One. Does NR have a fix, or is the prevaling philosophy just install it and hope for the best?
