  • Limited Receipt parsing

My brand new neat receipts doesn't do a very good job parsing receipts. It gets the vendor right, most of the time, and the date and type of payment, but it almost always misses the amount. It sometime takes the first amount shown, sometimes the tax amount, sometimes no amount. Am I doing something wrong? I'd love it to work for me, but it ...

  • Re: Split Transactions on Reciepts

Yes, this is an absolutely necessary function for people who, say, go to Costco and buy groceries, but also a NeatReceipts Scanner to use for business and want it to show up on a Schedule C or Form 2106!  While we're specifying, lets have these line items sum up and export to accounting and tax software in their approporiate ...

  • Re: Split Transactions on Reciepts

I second; and, expanding on jweick's sugggestion, it would be ideal if a receipt scan would let you assign a category to each line-item in a receipt, automatically adding up the subtotals for the categories in a set of repeatable split fields (Groceries: $47; Household: $23; Medical: $14) over on the right.     Thanks much for your ...

  • Re: Things I would like to see in future versions (Mac)

Generally I am very happy with NeatWorks and I will use it a lot.  I have found a few things that I hope might be changed in future versions:1. For the prompt: "Delete item? Are you sure you wish to delete this item?  This can not be undone." with Delete and Cancel, Cancel is selected, so the return button will choose ...

  • European date format?

I have just returned to Neat Receipts as I converted to using Macs almost two years ago. I am glad to be able to use the product again and congratulations for allowing the free download to old Windows users. As a European user I have difficulty with the date fields on a receipt. 10/06/08 would be input by Neat Receipts as 6th October 2008 as per ...

  • Hotel bills

I am a new bee to the NEAT Receipts. Got one for Christmas and trying to use. Couldn't scan anything till I reversed the Calibration sheet (instructions say keep up to see arrows). Scanned one receipt 6 times and get 4 different extracts. Scan a restaurant receipt get category Meals/Restaurant and get a tax category of automobile (first on ...

  • Re: Help Exporting to Quickbooks

Hi, Jenn.  When I exported a folder of receipts directly to Quickbooks, each receipt showed up in my Reimbursable Expense account as I directed.  However, I don't know how to pull those into my Invoice to the customer to get reimbursed.  The idea is to input my receipts with NeatReceipts so I can e-mail them along with my ...

  • Concur Integration

My company is implementing Concur for expense reporting, and I was wondering if NeatReceipts integrates with Concur out-of-the-box, or if there are some steps I can take to streamline the expense reporting process (i.e., Excel Map)?

  • Disappointed in Smart Sorting Results

I just installed a new Neat Receipts with 3.0 a few days ago, and thought it was doing great, until tonight when I scanned in 127 cash receipts from the past several months. Out of 127 receipts, most from either Kroger or Walmart, more than HALF of the receipts did not have a Vendor name! Plus, I've already discovered other errors ...
