  • Free rotate scanned pages

Documents that aren't exactly 8 1/2 x 11 don't have a paper guide, and often enter tilted, if I was able to free rotate (not only by 90º) that'd be great! I realize that might mean that there would have to be an option to hold a temporary tiff file, and I'm okay with that. Lots of software has a scanning preview pane that does ...

  • iPhone app

There are several iphone apps that basically turn the iphone into a pdf scanner already, JotNot for example.  I put in a strong vote for Neat Works developing an iphone app (30 million users!) which would allow the user to take a quick pic and then convert the OCR either syncing with a laptop/desktop or possibly on the iphone itself?  It ...

  • I need to customize my fields in neat receipts for mac.

Hi, I need to customize my fields in neat receipts for mac. I cannot find anything that will let me do this. The edit / customize function does not seem to work correctly or be reliable.  Is there a directory to the pre written fields and can I change their names?  I LOVE scanning my receipts directly into a file but need to write ...

  • Re: This is Unacceptable - Scan to PDF - Quality Not so Good in SP3

I set the settings to receipt and color, and it automatically puts the receipts into black & white with high contrast.  I have to edit each image (where I can't retain the auto-rotation to keep the text straight) and save changes before it will go back to in color (with legible detail).  This is very time consuming!  Why not ...

  • Export as PDF (searchable) as multiple documents

It appears that when you export a group of documents as searchable PDF files that it combines those documents into one.  For example, if I select 10 documents in my database and export them the result is one searchable PDF file that contains all of the 10 that I selected.  Is there a way to export these 10 documents as 10 individual ...

  • Multiple issues with NeatDesk

I have had the NeatDesk for about 4 months now and I really like the product idea however performance is a different story. I just wanted to find out if anyone else out there is experiencing the same issues I am. I will break it down by scanner and software issues:  -scanner Jams with small receipts Says it can handle 10 to 50 documents ...

  • Re: Importing lots of old pdfs into Neatworks Mac

I did this as well but was sorely disappointed in the OCR "success" rate... It was miserable even on PDFs that I printed via CutePDF and that were not scans! Some did not even pickup the price accurately that was razor sharp on the receipt. And when I drag and drop items to fill out areas using Inspector? The OCR is nothing more than ...

  • IRS Tax categories?

The Windows version of NeatWorks makes it easy to specify a category from the IRS.  I'm unable to find a similar feature in the Mac version.  Am I missing something?

  • UK date format

I've just unpackaged and set up neat receipt for Mac & I'm impressed... and very disorganized with a love of gadgets... so thank you very much.  I know it's on the forum here already, that you don't support your product in the UK but I thought I'd ask again: you've done a great job of implementing ...
