Problem: Scanner is not scanning OS: Mac OS X v 10.4.11Neatworks Mac Software v 2.1.9Scanner: small, slim version
Neatworks seems to take a long time to load and once it does I cannot scan. The screen will say it's scanning (sometimes) but the scanner never does anything but sit there.

Does the latest release (Version 2.1.5 (215086)) resolve the hanging problems that forced me to return my scanner only days after I bought it?
I plan to re-order NeatDesk for Mac, but only after I'm convinced that the software works.

Unfortunately (a gross understatement) Neat's software for the Mac does not work . . . period.
Neat should stop selling NeatDesk for the Mac until the problem is resolved.
I returned the unit (and flawed software) directly to Neat, from which I had purchased the product directly.
But I will gladly re-order it after the software ...

I just scanned a year's worth of docs into my MacBook Pro, then copied the collections onto my iMac G5 desktop. Since then I've had the same problem with hangs when "gen. pdf" and I've experienced all the problems above.

Just curious, I noticed that most of the dates on this thread were dated in May of this year. Just got mine for Xmas and it scans great on the quick scan but when I do a regular scan, it seems to have the issue of hanging up when it gets to the "Generating PDF" sequence ......has anything been done yet to address this issue? I have just installed NR Professional (Version 3 SP1 update) on my Vista Home Premium machine. NR works great...except at various intervals it simply hangs and the only way I can do anything is to end the program thru Task Manager. After the first scanning a receipt the program goes through it's routine of recognizing the scan and then indicates it is constantly "Generating PDF" even though the image has appeared and I can edit it and fill the fields. I tried restarted and the problem still happens.
I'm running a PowerMac G5 dual 2.0GHz.
