I feel that the Mac version is missing an integrated 'Backup' feature which makes the task of performing a full backup much easier.
Anyways, what would I need to grab for a perfect reliable backup?

This is so obvious, that it does not warrant further description. Quicken is the best software that I have seen for regular, automatic backup prompts.

It is really cumbersome to do end-of-year backup/closeout. I still have problems.
How about considering adding a "one-button" type backup option in a future update?

I've had Version 3.0.4_414 for a week and I have scanned in 90 receipts so far, but when I ran the backup, it said the original database was up to 128 megabytes. The backed up version is compressed to 33 megabytes. That means the data and backup are already up to 161 MB for only 90 receipts. If the size of the database keeps increasing at this ...

Same situation here, but reboot did not fix it. Some other software installation I think messed with one of the components NeatReceipts installs (the MSDE or .NET thing). Had to uninstall and reinstall the software (making sure to run the backup when it asks you during uninstallation). Then, once you have the software running again, restore from ...
