I just purchased both scanners and software for Windows and Mac.  The scanners are not recognized on 10.5.8 or 10.6.2 and I uninstalled reinstalled both version 2.7 and 2.9.  Before I purchased I wish I had went to this forum.  I wouldn't have bought it.    I will return all the products on Monday for a credit. 

I've got the application from www.pathtoolong.com and it's removed the problem folder.
