  • Re: will version 4.0 read previous version of neatreceipts backups?

Well the version that I installed from new on my Vista 64bit machine is NeatWorks SP3A 4.7.7_ 57 When I check for updates the system NeatWorks returns: "At this time there are no updates available for this product thank you for using NeatWorks"  The backup files created by NeatWorks SP3A 4.7.7_57 are for example ...

  • Manual Database Recovery from Image without having a NR Database Backup Instance

Hi all, Well, I am in a bit of a predicament, and hoping there's someone out there that can assist. I was running Neatworks 4 (the .exe shows a version of 4.5.288) on a laptop that was running Windows Vista x64. During that time, I had made one backup, but had since made significant additions to my receipts. During that time, I had ...

  • Data Folder in MSSQL

I have been using NeatReceipts for one year now and few months ago I upgraded to Neatworks 4.  Last month my PC crashed but before it crashed I was able to copy the entire Microsoft SQL Server folder from Program Files.  I then reinstalled my Windows XP OS including Neatworks 4.  Since I dont have a backup file (*.nrbak) to recover ...

  • NEATReceipts crashing and losing data

Every so often NEAT Receipts crashes on my computer and loses data. I don't know the technical details of how SQL Server works, but shouldn't every transaction be committed to the database? I just scanned some receipts, edited some existing receipts, created a new Folder and moved some receipts from one folder to the new folder. I lost ...

  • Re: pdf files

With all due respect, your two sentence answer to the issues addressed in the previous poster's message was just the response to keep us skeptical.  I am pleased to see that you can scan directly to pdf in 3.0.  It was a pain to scan a document into NeatReceipts' proprietary file and then have to export out.  Direct to pdf ...

  • Re: Help changing the default Excel template

Hi, I'm a Business Intelligence integration consultant and we have a tool that can connect via various data adapters to over 300 data types/formats which then gives us the ability to generate metadata and write extracts, reports and various Business Intelligence.  Once a data adapter is connected, we can write reports that use, join, and ...

  • "Department" field in Contacts Database

When scanning business cards, I need to keep track of the department and business unit of corporate contacts in order for my contacts information to sync up with our Salesforce database. It is not clear how to add custom fields to the business card database in NeatReceipts (I'm using version 3.0.4 on a Windows XP machine). -thanks, David in ...

  • First Backup and It Is Huge -

I've had Version 3.0.4_414 for a week and I have scanned in 90 receipts so far, but when I ran the backup, it said the original database was up to 128 megabytes. The backed up version is compressed to 33 megabytes. That means the data and backup are already up to 161 MB for only 90 receipts. If the size of the database keeps increasing at this ...
