It is compatible and both the S300M and S510M work fine with NeatWorks. It's NeatWorks that can be a problem with its bugs and inconsistencies, but that's with any scanner.
However, there is an annoyance where NeatWorks tried to reconfigure the ScanSnap Manager despite selecting the tick box for it not to do it...

That's a disaster. Dates are critical for tax purposes and Neat Co need to get their act together.
I'm testing out Marine Paperless (was Receipt Wallet) to see how I get on. Has anyone had any experience of it?

Wow. That just shows - together with other issues - how little testing this product was subjected to.

The PDFs coming out of the NeatWorks for Mac are huge. However, the PDFs generated by my ScanSnap are less than a third of this size. I know this because ScanSnap stores them into a folder and NeatWorks then pulls it from there - without the option of deleting them after!
Anyway, the only thing that NeatWorks should be adding is ...

I have my preferences set to "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S".
However, I have to check all of the dates. A receipt with "6 August 2009" comes through as "2009-06-08 00:00:00".
So the month and day are swapped - probably an inheritance of the US v. European date format differences, but this is no excuse! ...

I have exactly the same problem.
It's one thing to annoy your paying users every time they launch the application. It's another to do so after asking them whether they want it checked - again and again.
I just don't understand how a product can be released with such an obvious flaw....

Changing the Date Format preferences from "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S" to "%Y-%m-%d" does nothing event after relaunching NeatWorks... yet another bug!
I am wondering whether I can trust the integrity of this application with my business receipts.
