• Re: Using Smart Collections

I know no way to filter out two fields for smart collections either. The only thing I can offer you is advice on changing your workflow. That is, create a smart collection for reimbursable items. Then assume all reimbursable items are unpaid. When the items are paid. Uncheck the reimbursable box and check the paid ...

  • Re: Large File sizes after scanning into Neatworks

Eh... they should know something. There are tons of post by people voicing concern over the pdf sizes, and then there are other posts by people concerned about the overall massive library size neat has. Mine's around 1.6 GB. That's with only 2 years worth of scanning (or whenever the pre-release came out). I suppose ...

  • Re: Large File sizes after scanning into Neatworks

Yes this is a problem for myself as well. There are other post in this forum stating this problem. I haven't seen a solution yet. I have just turned a blind eye on this, hoping the developers at Neat are working on a solution.

  • Re: Newbie, please help with options

b/w for unimportant, color on other color color Time Machine. Which backs up everything on your computer and makes incremental backups based on changes made to files. The data file for N/R is .nrmlib. I'm pretty sure its default location is the documents folder. I do not throw anything away for oh I guess ten years. ...

  • Re: Best Way to Backup Everything

Time machine works almost perfect. Time machine is a backup application built into MAC OS 10.5. I have it set up with an apple time capsule (1TB) and I have on two or three occasions permanently deleted receipts (on accident) from NWorks. When this has occured I just open up time machine and go to the previous Neat Library and ...

  • Re: File sizes

I'm hoping Neat will follow-up with a fix in the future that will go back and slim these files down. I think I have in the neighborhood of 1200 receipts and maybe like 400 documents. This yields a library 1.4 GB. Seems large to me. All my receipts are b/w and my docs are generally scanned in color.

  • Re: Moving Receipt to SMART COLLECTION!!!!!

I don't typically use smart collections, so after reading your post I thought I better try it out. I found that the smart collection feature really doesn't have the same interface as (for example) itunes does. At any rate, to do what you are describing this is what I did: I clicked on the [receipts] collection. I ...

  • Re: License restrictions on library software? Laptop and Desktop from one copy legal?

Don't know about the legalities, but I've done it in the past. I think I had better luck with the library file on my mobile me account and then have the app on my imac and macbook point back to that file. I did try keeping the file on my imac and then access that from both the air and imac. It's been awhile but I recall ...
