I am trying to move off Windows using Paperport. It scans directly to PDF files and is very easy to configure the DPI resolution to scan and store in.
I just started using NeatWorks 2.1.6 for Mac and was experimenting scanning things in. One problem I have is that the images appear to be very low resolution even when Image Optimization is set to the highest quality. I also set the Export Image Quality to Highest. However, the PDF files created appear to be only like 75dpi. Looking in the library directory, the physical images being scanned are at 300dpi, but when they are combined in the .pdf files it appears to be rescaled drastically to a much lower resolution.
I am using one of the NeatDesk scanners.
Is there a setting I am missing someplace to fix this?
