Reconcile in Quicken (cross referencing feature)

Hi guys, you have a good idea and product but the software needs a little bit improvement.

I would like to suggest here the following:

When you export to Quicken, there is no way to cross reference an entry in Quicken to a Neat software image (entry).

How can we know for sure we are indeed looking at the proper entry. Let's say there has been 2 entries for the same amount on the same day, how can we know for sure that we are indeed looking at the right quicken entry?

Also, sometimes a merchant will download their POS terminals 2, 3 or more days later. How do we know which 10$ is which?

So I suggest you offer a # field (auto increment) that would populate the Quicken's memo field. Not only would we know which transaction we are referring to BUT also it would be an indication that the Quicken's entry was filled by Neat software!

    ANOTHER SUGGESTION:

A Y/N field in Neat software would indicate that an export to Quicken has happened (or at whatever date). This would help to figure out what has been exported or not.

I would be curious to know how many other users like me would want this suggestion to be implemented in the future release.

    Thanks in advance,

I'm displeased to see that people offer suggestions to Neatco (including myself) and a few of us posters didn't get any kind of response from technical support.

It would be nice to get feedback from the company too.

    Thanks for listening.

    Marchessault...

I use the "Paid by Co." field to annotate if the receipt has been exported to quicken.  Separately, I have requested a faster "check all selected" function to speed up this process.  I don't use the "Paid by Co." field, so using it for this purpose is perfect for me. There are a few binary fields you could use, just pick one you don't currently use for something else.

Jenn does a good job with getting most folks answers, often time she'll send them an email direct, so you may not see her post here...

    Good luck!
