    Will not Pull paper!!

I just got my neat receipts for my mac and it won't pull the paper.  I installed the software and then updated it then connected the unit to usb into my computer...  as I tried to calibrate the unit it wouldn't feed the paper through the scanner port.

What do I do?  Is my unit defected?

    Re: Will not Pull paper!!

My guess, you have another scanner (or multifunction printer) attached.  I've found if i used my canon MFP as a scanner, then the NR scanner will not work until the mac is rebooted. It's annoying because i use the Canon for 8.5x11 sheets because it does a better job (and duplexes!)

Anyway, if you have another scanner, try unplugging it, or reboting and using NR first.  That might solve the problem.

    Let us know :)

    Re: Will not Pull paper!!

I'm having this same issue. I have a Canon all-in-one. Even though the neat scanner is showing up in the System Profiler (as "600dpi USB Scanner"), the only scanner the NeatWorks software can find is the Canon. When I unplug the Canon, it can't find any. Un+re-plugging the neat scanner doesn't help.

It's not feasible to reboot and unplug each device to get NeatWorks to find the desired scanner (especially with Mac OS X where you rarely need to reboot, even while installing new applications, etc). Please fix the bug!

    He's not talking about that!

The original poster is having a problem with the scanner actually pulling the paper through the machine. I am having this exact problem, which makes NeatRec worthless!
