    How-To: Scanner Calibration

It is important to first calibrate your new scanner before using NEAT Receipts to achieve optimum results in imaging and character recognition.

    Re: How-To: Scanner Calibration

I have calibrated my scanner with the provided paper several times and still every time I scan a receipt it comes out illegible and none of the data fields load.  Any suggestions?

Can you email these problem receipts to macfeedback@neatreceipts.com?  Thanks.

It's important to make sure that the paper moves immediately when you click 'Calibrate' on the screen.  If you have to nudge the paper forward in order to get it moving, it wasn't properly inserted, and your calibration results are not going to be usable.

Please make sure that you're seeing the calibration paper move immediately.

Make sure you're not going through a USB hub - plug the scanner in directly to the computer. This didn't help the problem of the fields not being auto-filled, but it definitely fixed the scanning problem.  I'm guessing the auto-fill problem is a different bug altogether.
