In any date field enter the date as 8/25/09 for August 25, 2009. Neat Works parses it to 08/25/9 as in August 25, 9, as in the year Jesus Christ was walking the Earth. This is actually the Y2K bug!!!!

2. In any date field enter the date as 8/25/20009, yes that's 3 zeros. NeatWorks parses it to 08/25/2000. Instead of truncating the date it should instead report that the date is invalid and ask me to re-enter the value.

Re: Change the date format used by NeatWorks

Re: Change the date format used by NeatWorks

.

Re: Change the date format used by NeatWorks

I have my preferences set to "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S".

However, I have to check all of the dates. A receipt with "6 August 2009" comes through as "2009-06-08 00:00:00".

So the month and day are swapped - probably an inheritance of the US v. European date format differences, but this is no excuse! YYYY-MM-DD format is the ISO standard!

Worse still for a receipt with "16 August 2009" this comes through as "2009-08-16 00:00:00"!!!! Presumably because there can be no 16th month.

What a disaster. How can such inconsistencies pass through any decent quality controls, especially when accuracy is key to accounting.

Re: Change the date format used by NeatWorks

i changed the date format to %m-%d-%Y - which shows correctly in the example (04-15-2009) - but everywhere in the app it shows it as Thu Apr 09 2009
