I have a scanner plugged into the machine right now but it is not a NeatReceipts scanner. I left my NeatReceipts scanner back at the office because I am on a business trip right now. NeatReceipts used to work with multiple different types of scanners. Is that functionality gone in 3.0?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I tried another software with my Scanner and it is working just fine. My computer is Windows XP SP3. Unfortunately without success because I could not get the database to work.&amp;nbsp;To make a long story short I eventually ended up with their &amp;quot;live chat&amp;quot; support. After going through a number of steps the person asked me if I had a US machine. My answer was that I was German and&amp;nbsp;that I had a HP Pavilion laptop, probably made somewhere in Asia. Following this exchange I learned that NEAT Receipt does not run on &amp;quot;international&amp;quot; PCs, only on US machines!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is very unfortunate; I bought the device at Washington airport and was in no way made aware by the sales person that there might be a problem if&amp;nbsp;the PC that I was planning to use was not purchased in the USA.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To make things worse; following the advise of the person on the &amp;quot;live chat&amp;quot; I contacted their return department and was told that I had to organize and pay for the return of the unit to the USA myself. I cannot seem to get to a version that the v3.x Upgrade disc will accept.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I tried the 3.0 disc, which tells me to install from the original disc then do 3 updates: 2.1.4 update installs just fine, but the 2.5.5 update and the 2.7.5 update say they are not compatible with my Vista OS.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Going to the NR Tech Support website, I&amp;#39;m told that I have to update to 2.8.1 to get Vista compatibility. So I did that, and again try the upgrade disc. I am told to choose the version that I am upgrading from. The only Vista choice is &lt;a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana"&gt;Vista Beta - Version 2.7.6&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;. perform a restart of computer.On re start receipts have been filed -but not verified -and already filed chronologically so that I have to search all receipts to verify data (NR also scans correctly only 60-70% of the time) Please advise. I am on toshiba satellite laptop, XP Home
Edition Svc Pak 2 with 2 gb of memory. My primary computer is a mac so&amp;nbsp; I have few apps on this computer. I have closed any running apps in order to solve issue; have tried just scanning 3 or 4 receipts at a time but to no avail.
