I set the settings to receipt and color, and it automatically puts the receipts into black & white with high contrast. I have to edit each image (where I can't retain the auto-rotation to keep the text straight) and save changes before it will go back to in color (with legible detail). This is very time consuming! Why not just listen to my preference for color in the first place?
Also, please allow auto-cropping to the inside of the black triangular edges (for a crookedly printed receipt). If you could do these three things:
- Auto-rotate until the text is straight
- Crop inside the black edges
- Keep it in color, if that's what I asked for
Then I wouldn't need to edit the image by hand anymore, and you'd save me half the effort I'm currently spending.
The other half of the effort is correcting the data, which could be improved by letting me modify the defaults for auto-population. For example, I know what category I want to put a vendor's receipts into, and it's not the one you're consistently picking automatically.
This really doesn't seem like a lot to ask. I'm actually pretty
disappointed by the lack of features in the software. I don't seem to
have a choice about much at all.
