I use 2.8.1 and when I tried to install the scanner on Vista I could have screamed! I finally gave up on vista because the neat receipts scanner would work. I refused to up to 3.xx because 2.8.1 did what it was supposed to do, on XP.

Here we are into the third quarter of 2008. Will 4.0 use the 2.8.1 database and integrate successfully? Because I don't want to rescan three quarters worth of documents, business cards and receipts. Still using XP Pro on both desk and notebook. If you can guarantee me this, I buy the new scanner and software if it's reasonable.
