    Re: Deleting Unused Receipt Fields

The problem appears the same in MAC or PC. I am a PC user, and equally frustrated at the very limited choices in setting up expense reports, the sole reason I bought the package.

And from the number of posts and the time elapsed since the first post, we appear to be in a state of "ignore the issues and maybe they will go away" as far as NEATco is concerned. HELLLOOOO??? NEATco??? Anyone reading these posts???

I think the whole NEAT solution is ingenious and in certain areas it is quite brilliant. Howewver, so far NEAT has no delivered entirely what is promised, IMHO.

There's a difference between what a software designer thinks and what the consumer needs. I'd enjoy Beta testing and assisting in making the product better, but it would take a response from NEAT to get the ball rolling. I'm not bashing, I'm requesting support for a product with great potential. But I feel I've been led partway down the garden path, especially by the sales people at the airport kiosks.

In Amateur Radio parlance,  CQ NEATco, CQ NEATco, CQ NEATco, K.

As a new user I immediately encountered this problem and came here to find the solution and was somewhat dismayed to read this list of unanswered messages. It seems extraordinary that there is neither action nor reaction from Neatco to this obviously serious defect.

    Re: Deleting Unused Receipt Fields

    Hi,

Add me to the lists of "need to remove unwanted fields" and to "want to change the columns in the Table list at the bottom of the page" and "how to have newly added fields get added to the lower left corner of the totals section". Not necessary but would be nice if I could arrange the fields (right side of the screen) in a different order for ease of entry,

Any one have any info please let me know.

    Thanks

Same issue here.  The abundance of useless fields and the inability to customize and put them in the order you want them is a serious shortcoming.  It seems as if they tried to start doing this, but released it before it was working properly!

    Re: Deleting Unused Receipt Fields

I just bought this program to replace my PAPERLESS software which though had not been updated in 1+ years was keep it stupid simple and worked. I was led to believe on the website that the collections and then smart collections could be made however you like.  More important that I could add, remove any fields I want.  Clearly this has been an issue for a year and I do not see one single response in here from NEATco.  Seems rather sloppy and messy to me.  Has ANYONE gotten a response that was favorable?

Not only should we be able to remove fields but we should be able to have smart collections drill down...as an example, I use my scanning software for keeping IRS receipts and documents.

If I want to have a collection folder for documents and then with in that folder a smart folder for 2009 Tax Documents and then w/i that folder a smart coll for 2009 Medical Bills, 2009 Prescriptions, 2009 Daycare...etc I should be able to set it up and then select the appropriate fields once scanned in so that it deposits itself into the right smart folder.

At this time, seems like a very large waste of money and if the above issues on fields and everything else can not be solved I may have to send a letter to the editor of MacWorld too since their sight is where I got this great software review.

NEATco...show me you are truly a company wanting to support the MAC community and not only ANSWER our concern but more importantly ADDRESS THEM NOW not in another year.  If not, please credit me a full refund of my purchase price and I will go buy DEVONThink or some other program.

    Add me to the list.

I bought this software/scanner to organize tear sheets from magazines - believing I could customize my fields - it's both part of the software GUI and the built in manual.

Why have it appear in both places IF IT DOESN'T WORK??????

Now I have a brand new $400 paperweight next to my computer...
