    Quicken 2009 & Exporting NR

I like many others thought this product was going to be the answer to many hours of manually entering receipts into Quicken. While it might be true that I can export/import receipts from NR to Quicken, the point is it takes me more time than just plugging away the old fashioned way....manually. I am moderately computer savvy at best and found the instructions in the NR User Guide to be less than helpful. I've spent the morning reading though all the Quicken forum entries and find I am not alone in my frustration. I had my new NR packaged to return to Costco when I found it could not be loaded onto my computer due to Vista 64 bit. Just to please my husband, I checked the NR website and found the problem had already been solved. So, I unpacked the NR and loaded it. Oh my gosh, what a dream. Scan, scan, scan...I had pictures in my head of scanning in all my receipts from years past but thankfully I scanned in 15 receipts and decided I better work on transferring them to Quicken. Now after reading though the Quicken forum post, downloading the Excel Mapping that Scooby was nice enough to share, I have decided that the NR is not providing me the solution I had envisioned. Please send me an email or notice if NR and Quicken come together and find a solution but for now I will be taking my NR back to Costco for a refund.

Re: Quicken 2009 & Exporting NR

Hi there Kaladidit - I'm just getting familiarized with NR and trying to see how it compliments Quicken. I was hoping I could scan and have the images magically find their respective traqnsaction in Q. As it is, I can't seem to get my Q accounts into NR and my online support phone chat was filled with a lot of dead air - painful - no assistance. NR might not be the answer I am looking for.

Re: the old fashioned way of entering reciepts in Q, what do you do? I download my account history from banks, etc., and then match up reciepts with transactions followed by taping the recipets in a binder after asigning an ongoing transaction number and putting this number in the memo field. What do you do ?  Should we be chatting on the Quicken Forum?

Also - I have high speed internet but it seems endless on this forum waiting for it connnect to??...., is this a NR server issue or is this on my end? Maybe forum advisors can answer this, too.
