From what I can tell even paying for an upgrade will not get this product to work with an x64 based system.

Absolutely ridiculous,  I am commenting on every review site that I can about how bad the support for this product is.

We are currently working on 64-bit support and we anticipate it to be available within a few months.

The system requirements for Version 4 clearly state that it is not 64-bit compatible.  I'm sorry if you missed this information.

I am interested in finding out when the 'silver' neat receipts machine will be Vista x64 compatible. Please keep me in the loop, I purchased a new HP laptop in August 07' without knowing that it was Vista 64 and the difference between the two and my NR scanner doesn't work with it and the reason for the scanner in the first place was to maintain a fully functioning on the go office w/laptop, printer, scanner, etc and ever since last year I've been w/o a travel scanner.

Also, will it be possible to purchase the software for the 'Scan to Office' program and use it w/the 'silver' nr hardware or will I need to purchase the hardware for 'Scan to Office" and have two pieces of equipment in my travel pack? I see that you can purchase the software only "Scan to Office" software, my question is will it be compatible w/the silver machine or will I need the new white one for it to work?

When NeatWorks is 64-bit compatible, it was work with the silver mobile scanner.

Additionally, NeatScan To Office is compatible with the silver and white mobile scanners.

Thanks for the update!. I am currently using the product on XP. I was hoping the new version will be able to run on 64bit Vista, but could not find and Tech. Spec for the new version or any specs. for the new hardware

Hopefully, it will be soon. I'll wait on buying any of its new hardware/software until it can run on 64bit Vista.

"Within a few months" is a little vague. I am really interested in buying a scanner to help me organize my receipts for tax purposes but would like to know when, realistically, NeatReceipts is planning on releasing 64-bit supported software.

Can you give us a more accurate idea of when to expect this? Two months? Four? Eight? 12?

Has x64 been released now that it's the 28th?  For those of us unable to install due to no x64 bit support, we cannot use the update that was just released because it requires that the full software already be installed before applying the update.  Kind of like the chicken before the egg isn't it?  How do we get the full version software?  I have my x86 key I can provide if they need validation of purchase.

I bought this software and initially installed it on a computer with Windows XP.  I just purchased a new computer with Vista 64 and it doesn't work.  Looking for an upgrade.

Found the full download program on the website and was able to download successfully!

Installed Version 4.0 on my Vista x64 quickly and easily.

Downloaded from the support section of this site.

Used it for about 3 hours last night.  No issues, no crashes.

Thank you for taking your time to release this. 

Too many times companies rush to release x64 versions that do not work well or are just patches.  NOT the case here.

 Love the scanner and the software!
