    Quickbooks Guide

    Jenn,

As a person who relies heavily on NR and QB for business, I'd really like to start trying out NR with my financial platform. However, QB has a massively difficult import feature when reconciling against the general ledger. Could one of you guys at NR put together a simple "how to" using screenshots and instructions on using NR with QB? Personally I know I'm hesitant to try it at this point because of the difficulty in undoing a mistake in QB.

    Just an idea.

    Re: Quickbooks Guide

    Hi Tommy,
We're releasing an update to Version 3 in a few weeks.   Version 3 Service Pack 1 has improved integration between NEAT Receipts and QuickBooks.  At that time, we'll also release a tutorial to explain how you can export data from NEAT Receipts to QuickBooks.

    Thanks!

    Re: Quickbooks Guide

will it be easier to import into QB.  I have tried it with my 2.8.5 version and since you have to group items together and import only to the general ledger, I find it not user freindly at this point since it does not import what the item or description thus i have to bounce back and forth between QB and NR to finish the import process.  After all this time, I might as well have booked into QB to begin with.  I really like NR because of the scanning of the receipt for IRS backup, but will admit that the import currently is not time user friendly.

    Hi acct62,
Yes, it'll be easier to import NEAT Receipts data in QuickBooks.  We spoke to and worked with NEAT Receipts and QuickBooks users to learn about and understand the changes and improvements they wanted to see.

We hope you'll be pleased with the changes in the upcoming release.

    Sincerely,
    Jenn

    Re: Quickbooks Guide

Is there a requirement to use Quickbooks 2007? I have Quickbooks 2006 Pro which is not connecting and I'm wondering whether this is the reason.

    Jenn -

Would you please take a look at my thread on this subject?  Importing into accounts payable is wrong; and importing into GJ saves exactly zero time.  I'd be more than happy to chat with you guys (I'm also in Philly) to elaborate.  You've got a fanstastic product but this is a seriously fatal flaw.
