Please, please look into an international version. I use it with different folders for different currencies but the folders show my local currency and US Dollars. Of courst the report section is no good to us international customers.

The only way round it is to export into Excel then change the currencies.

Do love it though, it has made filing expenses a pleasure (I never thought I would say that!).

Hi,

I have just upgraded to windows 7. And install the 4.7.7 software for neat works. I have issue with calibrating. After reading forums I have found the file that i have to download to skip the scanner calibrating. Which it did and I tryied scaning document but it will not feed any paper it will not feed the document that I am trying to scan. If you guys can help it would be grate.

Feature Request: Allow user to format expense report

It would be great if I could choose what fields are included in the expense report. Right now, the form includes fields I do not need, which creates an issue where it does NOT include the fields I do need. I need the "notes" field to be included in my expense reports- as it works now the notes are crowded out and either included only partially or not at all. Yet, the expense report includes all kinds of data fields that I don't need and leave blank. If I could choose what fields to show in the expense report, I wouldn't have this problem.

And I don't know if it's a bug or what - but it's odd that the notes field is sometimes included, sometimes cut off mid sentence (and my notes are by no means long) and other times the note field is not included at all.

Neat Desk for Mac locks up

Hi,

OSX 10.6, latest Neat Desk arrived at my door.. from UPS... paid $400... installed Neat and now, find out that it locks up the iMac so bad you have to re-boot. What a joke... I will wait a few days for a response... none comes, no fixes... tada... back to the MFG for a complete refund.

Scenario #1... scan something that does not get picked up by the rollers... both SCAN and PDF lights start to flash green... and nothing will bring the Neat s/w service back to earth...except a reboot...

Scenario #2: try and use the test option: menu Preferences->Scanning->Diagnostics...all squares light up green... yay... and then try option Test Scan...Test Scan.... Boomf... she locks up.... spinny thing shows... till you kill the process or reboot..

Nice try... pretty plastic box that seemingly can work... waiting for the proof of that...

Problem with Neatworks working with ScanSnap Scanner

I just purchased Neatworks to run with my S300M Fujifilm Scanner. I am running Mac OSX 10.6

The settings in Scan Snap do not allow me to link to the Neatworks program.

I have tried downloading the latest drivers but that did not change the issue.

Feature Request: Expense Report Formatting

I would like the ability to have a little more control over report formatting, such as changing the header contents, and adjusting the line spacing. I would also like the ability to have a little more control over Receipt Captions, such as association with other columns in the row the receipt corresponds to and abililty to add custom text (like an item number from another expense report using the same receipts).

The reason for this last request is that often as a subcontractor, we are asked to provide expense reports to more than one entity. Different entities sometimes have different reporting requirements - or, more often, its nice to help the person tallying the receipts by providing details under them.

e.g. Instead of "Receipt #2" I'd like the caption to read "Line 2 Hertz 11/12/09 $328.26 ExpID#001288" - where the first four are columns in NeatWorks, and the last is a custom entry (perhaps a custom column in the report), that corresponds to another expense report.

Feature Request: Option To Default Receipts in Color

Pasting/Dragging copy into the "notes" form field is broken

Pasting or dragging single and/or multiple lines of OCR text into the 'notes' form field is 'broken'.

When I select a line of OCR text and either drag or copy/paste into any other form field it comes in using a legible/default font - looks like lucida grande.

When I copy and paste and/or drag a single or multiple lines of text (from a document/receipt or business card) into the 'notes' form field the text comes in using the 'monaco' font. Sometimes it's completely illegible (7-8 pts and aliased) or sometimes it comes in in 2 font sizes of monaco?

I then have to select the text in this 'notes' area and re-format it so it is legible and consistent.

Can you please fix this?

Please, as your GUI and built-in help indicate - please make the fields customizable. This feature is currently broken on the mac.

Feature req: Maximize on double click of image in image preview

When viewing document images in the Receipts/Business Cards/Documents views, doubleclicking the image should switch the view to full screen.

Clicking once should skip to the next image in the set (if any)

Bug: Neatworks quick scan hangs on hibernate

If hibernating the computer with Neatworks quick scan running and scanner connected, quick scan hangs if the scanner is not available when the comptuer returns from hibernation. Reconnecting the scanner wakes the application back to life.

Instead of turning unresponsive, the application should simply detect that the scanner is gone.

Feature req: Merging/combining filed items

It would be Neat if one could merge/combine filed documents.

I now have a 30 page scan, scanned with the single side option. Then it turns out that one of the pages had handwritten notes on the back side and should have been scanned in duplex.

Without the requrested functionality all 30 pages must be scanned again, all in duplex.

I would like to be able to change/move the column headings (and associated columns) similar to moving the file size column (for instance) in windows explorer. E.g. I would like to place the 'date' column first in some of the receipt folders.

if I'm in my current receipts folder and scan another receipt, I'd like it to come directly to the folder and be added to the other receipts.

BUG: Unable to Drag Drop In Inbox

I am unable to drag and drop scanned items between the folder categories in the Inbox.

E.g. cannot drag a scanned item from "Document" to "Receipts"

Hello,

New owner of NeatReceipts for Mac and having trouble with amounts....

When I input 16.06 it enters 16.00$ and when I input 16,06 it enters 1606.00$.... can't manage to figure it out....

Not practical at all, since I need to replace the numbers after they are entered...

Anyone knows why this is happening? Any way to arrange that??

Just in case, I work in French usually and I have a French-Canadian Macbook Pro.

There are several areas talked about in the forums that are niche needs, wanted by a few users.

If NeatCo could enable and document integration with Applescript (or perhaps another - modern - cross-platform scripting language, such as Ruby) we could tackle these issues for ourselves and share solutions with the community.

e.g. I want to trigger a workflow to add someone to Linked In once I've scanned their business card... niche need...

Installing my grey scanner on my MAC running Windows Vista 32bit, Driver?

Hi everyone,

I prefer the WINDOWS version of NR and would like to run NR on my MAC through bootcamp-Windows 32bit. (Virtual Computer)

The program installs fine but the DRIVER for the scanner does not. Missing .inf file is the error i get.

Anyone know of a different driver that will work in this set up?

Failed CD version 2.5.2 install on Vista 64-bit - How now do I UNINSTALL?!?!?!?!

Hi Folks,

I have had my NR package for a couple of years and just got around to opening it and trying to install it, of course on my brand new Toshiba laptop with Vista 64-bit. There were no incompatibility messages during install; there was only a failed to start error message, and inability to install the scanner driver.

After scouring your site I learned, OBTW, that my version does not support Vista 64-bit.

So I tried to uninstall it, and I can't do that either. I get an error message that it is incompatible with Vista 64-bit.

NOW YOU TELL ME THAT?!?!?!?!?

So is there some kind of uninstall utility or a manual uninstall procedure to remove it?

Fortunately I have a Vista 32-bit machine and several XP machines in the house I can use, but I can't begin to tell you how pissed off I am that not only does this product not function out of the box, BUT YOU NOW WANT ANOTHER $30 FOR AN UPGRADE VERSION TO MAKE IT WORK?!?!?!?

It's not like I'm trying to make some Windows 3.1 vintage product work on Vista. This thing is only a couple of years old and already obsolete by your support standards? If I could return it I would!

Please don't tell me this question has already been answered. I've been searching for a couple of hours and I can't find it.

BTW, I once worked at a small software company, and I have personally seen the issues of limited resources, and I think they're out of business now. But none of that helps your customers at tax time trying to get your product to work so they can do their taxes, AND I BELIEVE THEY WERE JUSTIFIABLY PISSED OFF that you were instead diverting resources to developing a paid upgrade rather than supporting those customers who had already given you their money. That's a pretty crappy way to treat your customers.

Scanner not responding

Problem: Scanner is not scanning

OS: Mac OS X v 10.4.11
Neatworks Mac Software v 2.1.9
Scanner: small, slim version

Neatworks seems to take a long time to load and once it does I cannot scan. The screen will say it's scanning (sometimes) but the scanner never does anything but sit there.

What I've tried:

restarting the computer
disconnecting and reconnecting the scanner
check that the light is lit on the scanner
ran scanner diagnostics

all diagnostics good
test scan FAIL

Any ideas on what's wrong?

Hi.

I have two scanners, one portable and one desktop.

The portable scanner is used with my laptop, and I want only one instance of the Neatworks database.

Will importing scanned PDFs give the same results in Networks as scanning directly?

Or in other words: will quality or other aspecs suffer if I scan documents to PDF on my office computer and then import them into the Neatworks database on my laptop as opposed to scanning them directly?
