My current library is becoming too large.  It is over 1.5gb is size and the program is slow to handle the file size.  Even though I have 12gb of memory available, it only uses 500mb and is very slow whenever I type data in directly to one of the fields.  I plan on splitting up my data into smaller library sets and therefore would like to transfer collections as required.  So, does anyone know a procedure to accomplish this?

The only way I found is to drag the files out to the desktop and back into the new library.  A clunky workaround to be sure, but it works.
