I ordered Neat Receipts a few weeks ago to my address in the States, and had my mom bring it over with her on a recent trip to Denmark (it's hard to find a distributor in Europe). As a Mac user, I was mildly devastated to find out that I had ordered Neat Receipts and not Neat Receipts for Mac (?)

 

Does anyone know if there is a hardware difference between these two products - I am 99.9% sure there isn't, I just can't imagine why these are bundled or shipped as different products. Or if they must be, why the one I ordered isn't called "NeatReceipts for PC"...something I would never have ordered :-)

 

Secondly, assuming I am just missing the software, what do you think the odds are I can crossgrade or have my useless Windows license transferred into a Mac version?

 

My mom leaves in a few days, and I'd like to know if you think she will have to haul this back across the Atlantic and then ship it back to Amazon...or if Neat will do they low carbon footprint thing, and help me get a Mac version of the software.

 

I've opened a support question with Neat, but was curious if anyone has seen this situation before or has any advice.

hardware is the same- I ordered a pc version too.

Back in the day, when they had the mac version as a pre-release, you could enter in your pc serial number on a webpage, and it'd generate a mac serial number, and let you download the mac version.  Anyone see that on the site lately?

Haven't had a response from Neat Co. yet, 2 days after I submitted my question. Maybe it's early to expect an answer. But my mom returns to the states soon and it would be nice to know what I should do with this package.

I am really, really hoping to legally obtain a copy of Neatworks for Mac - and hopefully also to cause someone to reconsider the naming conventions of their product line. I gotta say, it's very PC centric as is... 

I wrote to sales@neatco.com a few days ago, still no response. I have some concerns off the bat about the way neat handles support requests, but maybe I am just unlucky. Anyone have any positive experiences with support or after sales that might help me determine my next move? Thanks any feedback you can provide.
