Help -> Check for Updates wasn't working in V2.5.2

Hi Jenn, I received NeatReceipts for Christmas and have checked for updates a few times since then using the built-in product feature.  Unfortunately, NeatReceipts reported every time "No new updates  At this time no updates are available for this product.  Thank you for using NeatReceipts." and I wasn't aware that you'd been working hard to improve the product.

Yesterday, I noticed V2.7.5 has been available for a little while, so I upgraded to V2.5.5 and then to V2.7.5.  (I assume this two-step process is necessary, so I followed it.)

When I click on Check for Updates in this new version, can I depend on it to reliably check for updates, or do I still need to periodically check the Downloads page?

    Hi,

We can't reproduce this in-house.  It's possible that you're blocking our outgoing connections for some reason.  Are you on a corporate network, or behind a firewall?

Hi Mike, thanks for your response.  I use NeatReceipts on a home network, and to the best of my knowledge NeatReceipts is not blocked, but I will double-check by tracing the traffic using Wireshark and get back to you.

Hi Mike, I checked the traffic and saw both the request and response packet.  It appears NeatReceipts is successfully receiving a response from your update server. The message in the dialog remains "At this time no updates are available for this product."
